What: Thousands of children and their families will gather at Three Rivers Park District's Hyland Lake Park Reserve for the Target Children's Book Festival presented by the Star Tribune. The book festival, a free event for all, offers area families the perfect opportunity to spend time together engaging in various activities, including live readings, book signings and musical performances.
Who: Families can view special live performances by Jordan Pruitt, Jordan McCoy, Roger Day, Playhouse Disney's "Johnny and the Sprites," Justin Roberts & Not Ready for Naptime Players, Bob the Builder and others. Authors, including Rick Kupchella, Laurie Friedman, and Maxwell Eaton III, will read from the larger-than-life Target "Big Red Chair," which measures almost five-feet-wide and serves as the symbol of Target's national reading program Ready.
